The Chicago Blackhawks levelled the Western Conference finals series at two games apiece on Saturday, beating the Anaheim Ducks 5-4 in double overtime in Game Four.

Chicago centre Antoine Vermette scored the biggest goal of his career at 5 minutes and 37 seconds into double overtime to win the game.

This is also his second goal of the playoffs.

"We get the puck going in their end a little bit. We stuck with it. I think they're very effective as well whether they block some shots.

We tried a few attempts on that shift. We stuck with it.Lucky enough we got it back and put it in.

Emotion, in the corner, it was pretty fun. This is a fun group. We had a good celebration. Hopefully we can do that again."

It marks the Blackhawks' second overtime victory in the Western Conference finals and their fourth in the postseason.

Game 5 will be in Anaheim on Monday.
