Travel woes could linger for days after a power outage shut down Atlanta's airport for much of Sunday. More than a thousand flights were grounded. Many people were stranded on planes and in dark terminals.

Calmer winds have given fire crews in California's Santa Barbara County a break, as they continue to battle an enormous wildfire. Wind gusts reaching 70 mph had added to the extreme fire danger in other parts of the state.

President Trump says he's not considering firing special counsel Robert Mueller. However, the President did criticize Mueller's staff for obtaining thousands of e-mails from Trump's transition team. Mueller's spokesman says they were all obtained properly.

And US senator John Mccain has returned home to Arizona and is expected to miss the GOP tax bill vote. A doctor at the National Institutes of Health says, the Arizona republican was treated for a viral infection and is responding positively to brain cancer treatment.
