2017年CRI Foreign companies optimistic on China's manufacturing upgrade(在线收听

Surveys of foreign companies and organizations at a recent seminar on the "Made in China 2025" strategy suggest most remain optimistic about China's economic prospects.

As part of a seminar on transformation in the manufacturing sector, attendees have suggested the Chinese government can achieve its economic targets as long as it sticks to its commitment to globalization.

Representatives from Siemens have suggested the German firm remains committed to continued investment in China over the next few years.

Foreign Direct Investment into China declined by 1.3-percent through the first half of this year.

However, most observers are suggesting FDI may pick up through the 2nd half, as the economy in China remains stable.

For more on this, CRI's Paul James earlier spoke with John Ross, Senior Fellow with Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University.
