It was early in the day, and the grass was wet.  这天清晨，草地还很湿。

Sweet little birds were singing all around her. 漂亮的小鸟在她周围歌唱。

And what do you think she found besides flowers? 你认为她在发现花朵之外还找到了什么？

A nest with young birds in it. 是个鸟窝，里面有许多刚出生的小鸟。

While she was looking at them, she heard the mother bird chirp,  当她看着它们时，她听到鸟妈妈唧唧地在叫，

as if she said, “Do not touch my children, little girl, for I love them dearly.” 好像在说：“小姑娘，不要碰我的孩子，我深深爱它们。”

The little girl now thought how dearly her own mother loved her. 小女孩此刻想起了自己的妈妈有多么爱她。

So she left the birds. Then picking some flowers, she went home, 她离开了那些鸟，然后采了一些花。回到家后，

and told her mother what she had seen and heard. 她把所闻所见都告诉了妈妈。
