President Trump is urging members of Congress to go against the NRA. Trump is also calling for more armed teachers, a higher minimum age for buying assault rifles and stronger background checks.

The Supreme Court has turned down the Trump administration's request to have it decide the fate of the DACA program without it going through lower courts. The administration wants to either end the program that keeps young people brought to the US illegally as children from being deported or have Congress rework it.

Thousands of striking West Virginia school teachers are demanding a face-to-face meeting with their governor. The Teachers Union says the strike in all 55 of West Virginia's counties is set to continue Tuesday.

And representatives from both North and South Korea met to discuss the North's participation in the upcoming paralympics winter games. The games are set to begin in South Korea March 9th.
