All 5 passengers on a helicopter died after the aircraft crushed into New York City's East River. The pilot survived. The incident is under investigation.

President Trump is set to visit the US-Mexico border Tuesday. He is also scheduled to see prototypes of his planned border wall while in San Diego.

The White House has introduced a new plan to prevent school shootings. It backs away from raising the minimum age for purchasing assault weapons to 21. President Trump had publicly supported that idea.

And a controlled explosion brought down the tallest building in Kentucky's capital, Frankfort. A crowd cheered that the destruction of the 28-story tower, which will be replaced by a modern office complex.
