　　Between Nose and Eyes a strange contest arose; 鼻子眼睛之间，引发奇怪争论；

　　The spectacles set them, unhappily, wrong; 眼镜挤在中间，浑身都不如意，

　　The point in dispute was, as all the world knows, 查究辩论焦点，看来世人皆知；

　　To which the said spectacles ought to belong. 眼镜这块地盘，隶属何方领地？

　　So Tongue was the lawyer, and argued the cause, 舌头变成律师，辩析争论原因，

　　With a great deal of skill and a wig full of learning, 口舌如簧技巧，满腹经纶学问，

　　While chief baron Ear sat to balance the laws, 大亨巨头耳朵，坐镇权衡判决，

　　So famed for his talent in nicely discerning. 感叹非凡天资，洞察入微能力。

　　In behalf of the Nose, it will quickly appear, 代表鼻子利益，我会很快出现，

　　And your lordship, he said, will undoubtedly find, 你的贵族身份，当然毋庸置疑，

　　That the Nose has the spectacles always to wear, 鼻子佩戴眼镜，理应你是主人，

　　Which amounts to possession, time out of mind. 类似从属占有，想必追溯久远。

　　Then, holding the spectacles up to the court, 然后携带眼镜，直奔耳朵法庭，

　　Your lordship observes, they are made with a straddle 阁下身份待查，镜腿两脚分离，

　　As wide as the ridge of the Nose is; in short, 鼻子宽如山梁，简而言之设计，

　　Designed to sit close to it, just like a saddle. 坐落山脊两边，类似一道马鞍。
