Congressional leaders are not quite celebrating President Donald Trump's historic meeting Tuesday with North Korea's Kim Jong Un. Senate republican leader Mitch Mcconnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan said the meeting was not a decisive one if North Korea doesn't denuclearize. While Senate democratic leader Chuck Schumer said Trump has granted a brutal and repressive dictatorship the international legitimacy it had long craved.

President Trump's trade adviser Peter Navarro expressed regret Tuesday for having said "there is a special place in hell" for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Tradeau. While appearing at a Wall Street Journal conference, Navarro said the language used was inappropriate.

A police officer has been honored for his quick reaction, rescuing a toddler running alone down a busy road in Illinois. Dashcam video shows Napperville Sergeant Anthony Mannino scooping up the boy as cars and trucks whiz by.

And the Washington Capitals celebrated their Stanley cup win with a parade and rally in the nation's capital. Tens of thousands of fans lined the route along Constitution Avenue, creating a sea of red to cheer their favorite hockey team on.
