This week's announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump to unilaterally withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal leaves another wave of uncertainties in the Middle East.

In the wake of the US decision to quit the deal formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the US Treasury Department has also imposed new sanctions against nine Iranian individuals and entities.Iran says it will work with other parties to try to keep the deal alive while at the same time says it has no intention of renegotiating the deal.European leaders have also reaffirmed their commitment.The Chinese government says it plans to keep in contact with all-involved to try to uphold and continue implementing the JCPOA.
