Zimbabwe's former leader Robert Mugabe voted in the country's first election without his name on the ballot. The 94-year-old stepped down in November under military pressure. He said he will be voting for the opposition leader and not the ruling party he once controlled.

Hundreds of climbers in Indonesia are making their way to safer ground after a deadly earthquake. The 6.4 quake set off landslides on an island, which is home to an active volcano.
