Northern California authorities say a fire fighter died Monday, battling the Mendocino complex fire. That fire has become the biggest in recorded state history since it started late last month.

More storms are forecast for flooded areas of central and eastern Pennsylvania. Heavy rains Monday closed an Interstate, sent water into homes and forced authorities to rescue many people.

A group of NASA astronauts told reporters they are excited about going into orbit in a SpaceX capsule. SpaceX and Boeing both have crew-carrying space capsules that could go on test flights this year.
