In the United States, the newly re-elected speaker the House of Representatives John Boehner has said he wanted president Obama to back Republican party bills on the energy & jobs to break the parties and divide. He was speaking as republicans took full control of both House of Congress for the first time in 8 years by assuming control of the Senate. The shift in the balance powers says the stage for a political struggle with the White House. From Washington, here's Barber Prata Asher.

The international criminal court in the Hague says his profound concern about the violent death of witness in the trial of the Kenya vice president William Ruto. The mutilated body of Meshack Yebei was found on Saturday in a river in western Kenya. Lawyers from Mr Ruto said he's been a critical witness in the defenses case. The ICC spokesman Fadi Abdullah said Mr Yebei appeared to breached the security measures prior to his death.

The US state department says the Cuban government has released some of 53 political prisoners on the American list. The spokeswoman said the government hoped to see the remaining once release soon. But she didn't give the names of the prisoner who has been freed. Last month, president Obama signaled a history shifting relations with Cuba and he ordered his administration to start re-establish normal relations with the island.

South Korea says North Korea has doubled the size of the cyber warfare to 6,000. The defense ministry in Seoul says the North was using cyber attacks to bring physical and psychological paralysis to South Korea. It offered no evidence for the charge in a defense white paper. The United States recently imposed sanctions on North Korea for the alleged hack on Sony Pictures.
