| A judge has ordered O.J Simpson held without bail after his arrest in connection with what police described as a robbery at a Las Vegas casino hotel.The district attorney says he expects Simpson to be charged with seven felonies and one gross misdemeanor.The former football star will be arraigned Wednesday. President Bush has nominated retired judge Michael Mukasey to replace Alberto Gonzales as attorney general.The nomination has been met with approval by some Democrats. A hearing has been delayed for some of the suspects accused in a week-long torture of a West Virginia woman. Authorities say additional kidnapping and sexual assault charges will be filed against some of the six suspects. Police in Oregon have returned more than 15,000 dollars worth of clothing and other goods to the stores they were taken from. Officers retrieved the items after cracking down on a local shoplifting ring. Among the suspects are a mother and her two sons. |
