President Trump spoke to the nation as he made the case for a wall on the US-Mexico border. The President said there is a humanitarian and security crisis in the border region.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer delivered the democratic response. They called the wall ineffective and unnecessary, and accused the President of governing by temper tantrum.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's train was seen leaving Beijing. Kim reportedly met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, as he prepares for a possible summit with President Trump.

A gas station canopy collapsed on top of a truck in western Pennsylvania. It happened as strong winds were tearing through the area.
