Hi there, I'm John from the BBC World News for Schools. It's Thursday the 28th of July.

Coming up:

Faulty equipment's blamed for Chinese train crash.

Sergio Aguero's set to seal Man City transfer.

And the three times lucky lottery winners!

First though to China where faulty signalling equipment has been blamed for last week's high speed train crash, that killed at least 39 people. Officials say that a signal failed to turn red after being hit by lightning, allowing a high-speed train to crash into another.

Next, the first plane full of emergency food for famine victims has arrived in Somalia's capital - Mogadishu. The aid is desperately needed, with more than half the country facing starvation. David Orr from the World Food Programme spoke to journalists shortly after the plane touched down...

CLIP: "We've got fourteen tonnes onboard this aircraft, of this special ready to use food which comes in sachets. It looks a bit like peanut butter and it's for the treatment of malnutrition in children."

But not long after the plane arrived heavy fighting broke out in the capital. It's not clear if the fighting has prevented officials from getting aid to those who need it.

Ok moving on to some sport now and It's expected that Argentinean striker Sergio Aguero will be confirmed as a Manchester City player later today. The fee for the Atletico Madrid player is expected to be even more than the £32.5 million pounds City paid for Robinho. South American footy expert Tim Vickery reckons he was always destined for big things...

CLIP: "Aguero is someone who was something of as child prodigy, back in Argentina with Independiente. His potential and his ability has never been in doubt."

And for today's question we want to know which Argentinean footy legend is Aguero's father in law? Yesterday we asked you how many states there are in the United States? And the answer is ....50!

Next to golf, and the Irish Open has teed off in County Kerry. Heading into the tournament US Masters' champion Rory McIlroy talked about how much he'd love a victory on home turf...

CLIP: "No matter what country you're from you want to win your national open. Being a major champion, and coming here this year, you know expectations are going to be very high and it would be great to win the Irish Open."

And finally, imagine winning the lottery, not once, not twice, but three times!Well a lucky mother and daughter from North Carolina have beaten all the odds by doing just that. Kimberly McCauley has just won $100,000 on a scratch-card, but that doesn't come close to her mum's winnings - she scooped more than $160,000 in 2007, which nicely topped up the $15.5m she won in 1991!

OK, that's all from the World News for Schools team. We're back tomorrow for our final bulletin. All week we've been getting so many nice message from you guys - thanks to Amir who got in touch from Iran, and to Rinto in Japan. And if you want to get in touch you better be quick. The address is [email protected]. Bye for now!
