Has he not dashed his heavenly quadrant? 他不是把他那只宝贝似的象限仪都摔了吗？
and in these same perilous seas, gropes he not his way by mere dead reckoning of the error-abounding log? 就在这种危险的波涛里，他不是光靠那错误百出的航海日志上一些不中用的记录在瞎摸着前进吗？
and in this very Typhoon, did he not swear that he would have no lightning-rods? 在这种台风中，他不是赌神罚咒地说，他不要什么避雷针嘛？
