President Donald Trump has declared a national emergency at the southern border and will use his executive authority to take billions of dollars that had been allocated for other projects to build his border wall. Democrats are blasting the move as unconstitutional.

Legal challenges to the President's declaration could also amount. Top officials in California say they'll likely file a suit. They say there is no crisis at the border and the President lacks the authority to make the declaration.

Vice President Mike Pence made his first visit to Auschwitz, the concentration camp where the Nazis killed more than a million people, most of them Jews, in what was then occupied Poland.

After years of searching, park rangers in Mexico have found a large monarch butterfly colony. Officials say the colony will be off limits to public viewings to protect the insects while they hibernate.
