Former Vice President Joe Biden will launch his 2020 presidential campaign on Thursday according to a person familiar with his plans. Given his high profile in US politics, the 76-year-old Biden would enter the race as a front runner.

And an Italian "land" artist has marked the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci by creating an image of him in a Verona field. It took 8 hours to carve the lines and curves of Da Vinci's face. But the landscape masterpiece is temporary. The field will be plowed for crops in a few days.
