President Trump Thursday criticized Robert Mueller a day after the Special Counsel publicly rejected Trump's claims of being exonerated of committing obstruction of justice. The President also offered mixed messages on Russia's efforts to help him win the 2016 presidential election. This is the first time Trump has acknowledge Russia worked to see him elected, something that was underscored in Mueller's report.

New Hampshire has become the 21st state to abolish the death penalty. The state senate voted to override Republican governor Chris Sununu's veto. 29 states still allow capital punishment, but in four of them governors have issued moratoriums on the death penalty.

Saudi Arabia's foreign minister says Muslim nations must confront recent attacks blamed on Iran with "all means of force and firmness". Ibrahim Al-Assaf said the attacks on oil infrastructures threaten the global economy and endanger regional and international security. Iran has denied the allegations.

And finally, German Chancellor Angela Merkel was awarded an honorary doctor of laws degree from Harvard University. The 64-year-old Merkel was on campus to give the commencement address at the Ivy League School's graduation ceremony.
