20 Democratic presidential candidates are ready to start 2 nights of debating in Detroit. Several of the candidates have been putting out policy proposals ahead of the debates.

Hundreds turned out at a vigil in Gilroy, California a day after a gunman killed 3 people at a festival. Police killed the gunman. He made a post to Instagram just before opening fire on Sunday.

Capital One says a hacker gained access to personal information from more than 1,000 million credit applications. A suspect arrested in Seattle is charged with computer fraud and abuse.

Fire destroyed a Roman Catholic church in central Texas that was more than a century old. The building dated back to 1895 and was said to be the largest all-wood church in the state.
