Business Matters: Russian opposition leader killed 28 Feb 15

Sat, 28 Feb 15

The prominent Russian opposition politician Boris Nemtsov has been shot dead in central Moscow. We hear more about the circumstances of his killing from BBC Russian service editor Artyom Liss. Also we hear from the BBC's Sameer Hashmi in India, where the Modi government is about to unveil its first full budget. After a video purportedly from Islamic State showing the destruction of ancient statues in Iraq, we ask Christopher Ratté from the University of Michigan about how IS have sold other artefacts to fund their campaigns. Marketplace's Kai Rysdall talks crowdfunding and we have our review of the week's news in business. Finally we remember Leonard Nimoy, otherwise known as Mr Spock, who has died at the age of 83 and ask why the Star Trek franchise has endured. Joining presenter Roger Hearing live throughout the programme is Adrian Hearn from the University of Melbourne.
