WBR: ECB to begin trillion euro stimulus 22 Jan 15

The ECB has unveiled its programme of Quantitative Easing. It has decided to create up to €1.1 trillion of new money and spend it on buying government bonds and other financial instruments from banks across the Eurozone. The UK intends to introduce legislation to make plain cigarettes packaging a reality. We hear from Alison Cox a Director of Research at Cancer Research. You might think that one of the world's most famous pop stars might appreciate the extra publicity of having her face adorn the t-shirts of one of the most popular clothing retailers in the UK. But Rihanna thought not, and has won a battle at the Court of Appeal in London against the retailer Top Shop. It had been selling a sleeveless tee shirt featuring a photo of the star that was taken without her permission. And the ruling ensures a ban on its sale is allowed to remain in place. Rihanna has previously done publicity and commercial appearances for Top Shop.
