WBR: Flash crash trader appears in court 22 April 2015 Wed, 22 Apr 15 A London trader is granted bail to fight extradition to the US. He's charged with contributing to the 2010 flash stock market crash. We report from the extradition hearing, and hear from Haim Bodek, a Wall Street whistleblower who has exposed so-called high-frequency trading scandals at major investment banks. In the fifth in our series of interviews ahead of next month's general election with key figures from each of the UK's main political parties, today it's the turn of the centrist Liberal Democrats. We hear from Danny Alexander, who in his role as Chief Secretary to the Treasury has been effectively deputy finance minister in Britain's governing coalition since 2010. Plus we assess revelations that the UK coffee chain Pret a Manger allows its staff to give away coffee to customers it likes. We have analysis from brand consultant Rebecca Battman. |
