As Sepp Blatter is re-elected president of Fifa, football's world governing body, in a vote overshadowed by arrests and corruption allegations, Kara Scannell Investigations Correspondent for the Financial Times, gave us her reaction from New York. Friday was a day for some big quarterly GDP figures. India's economy grew, the US recorded a first-quarter drop of 0.7 percent, Brazil was in negative territory too, but is it a recession? We asked the BBC's Daniel Gallas in Sao Paulo. President Obama has urged Congress to prevent security surveillance measures from lapsing, but his calls are not without critics as more than 1,000 websites 'blackout' Congress in protest against the legislation.
