CEO Tim Cook also said that anyone who buys the new iPhones or the upgraded iPad handheld computer will receive a free one-year subscription to the new Apple TV plus video streaming service which begins on November 1st. Apple says the new service which will showcase original dramas, comedies and other content will be offered to new subscribers at just 5 dollars a month, putting it in direct competition to Netflix and other streaming video services. The new iPhones along with the upgraded versions of its iPad and Apple watch will go on sale on September 20th.
