Most of the deaths occurred in southcentral and southwest Missouri, which all reportedly involve drivers killed in their vehicles on flooded roadways.

Earlier in the week Missouri Governor Jay Nixon declared a state of emergency on and activated the National Guard to help with rescue efforts.
