2019年CRI Man pours water on Baidu CEO Robin Li during live event（在线收听）

A man took to the stage during a speech by Baidu CEO and chairman Robin Li at the Baidu Artificial Intelligence (AI) Developers Conference on Wednesday and poured a bottle of water over his head. The moment was captured on video, and has become a huge sensation on social media in China.

The man, who has so far not been identified, said nothing as he walked up to Li and emptied his water bottle onto him. After a few seconds of speechless astonishment, Li asked the man in English, "What's your problem?" The man was then grabbed by security guards and removed from the stage. The man's motive is unknown.

In the video, Li calmly wiped the water from his face and shortly afterwards continued his address, drenched yet determined to continue. "Unexpected things can happen on the road to advancement for artificial intelligence," Li joked afterwards. "However, our determination won't change, and we firmly believe that artificial intelligence will change everyone's life."
