As hot spots in the coronavirus pandemic flared around the country- New York continues to be the hardest hit with the statewide death toll doubling in three days to more than 1,900. Bodies were loaded onto refrigerated morgue trucks outside overwhelmed hospitals.

About 900,000 people have been infected worldwide and over 44,000 have died, according to Johns Hopkins University.
