U.S. acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf says the restrictions bar travel for foreign nationals who have been present in Britain and Ireland in the past 14 days.

The measures include a self-isolation requirement for all travelers arriving in the country and a ban on the arrival of cruise ships.

It will also ban non-essential static gatherings of more than 500 people.

The corruption trial of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been postponed for two months due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The trial w?as supposed to begin on Tuesday.

Authorities have earlier shut down all schools, banned gatherings of more than 100 people and advised people to limit their social life.

Meanwhile, officials confirmed that nationwide municipal elections would go ahead as planned, but with special measures to keep people at a safe distance.

More than 4,500 cases have been confirmed in France, including over 90 deaths.

The Chinese mainland reported 20 new COVID-19 infections on Saturday.

Four of them were reported in the Hubei provincial capital Wuhan. The 16 others were imported cases.

So far, the number of imported cases on the Chinese mainland has exceeded 110.

More than 80 percent of the cities and counties around Hubei provincial capital Wuhan have been permitted to terminate the weeks-long lockdown.

This comes after most cities and counties in the province were evaluated as low and mid-risk regions.

Wuhan remains the only high-risk region in Hubei now.

To qualify as low level, a region must have no new confirmed patients for two weeks straight.

China will boost fiscal support to secure guarantees for the basic life of impoverished people affected by the novel coronavirus epidemic.
