The Russian government and President Putin developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump, according to an assessment made in a declassified intelligence report.

That report makes no assessment on the impact the release of hacked emails and other misinformation had on the election outcome and makes clear the Russians did not tamper with vote totals, a point underscored by President-elect Trump after a classified briefing from intelligence chiefs.

In a statement the President-elect acknowledged Russia, China and others are consistently trying to break through cyber infrastructure, adding he’ll appoint a team to give him a plan within 90 days of taking office to fight and stop cyberattacks.
