President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump visited the Saint John Paul II National Shrine in Washington Tuesday as protests raged across the country. The president laid a ceremonial wreath a day after posing with a Bible during a controversial visit to the historic Saint John's Episcopal Church.

Stores around some of New York City's iconic landmarks are cleaning up after late night protests turned violent. The city's first curfew in decades failed to prevent destruction of property as groups of people smashed their way into shops.
