Most Americans think refusing to stand for the national anthem is disrespectful to the country, the military and the American flag. But most also disapprove of President Trump's calling for the firing of NFL players who refuse to stand in the Associated Press/NORC Survey.

Americans disapprove of the protests by a 52 to 31 percent margin. But the numbers are nearly identical when it comes to the President saying team owners should fire the protesting players with 55 percent disagreeing with Trump.

美国人以52%比31%的投票不认同队员们的做法。但是总统称队长应该解雇抗议的队员这个做法，55%的人不支持特朗普总统。

After the President made his comments two weeks ago, hundreds of players took a knee, whereas before it had only been a handful.

两周前特朗普总统发表讲话之后，数百名队员单膝跪地表示抗议，以前只有少数人这样做。
