福克斯新闻 消费者要求食品包装给出营养成分表(在线收听) |
A majority of Americans, 84 percent, want the government to require nutrition labels on food packaging even if they may not want to read them. This according to a new Reuters/Ipsos Opinion Poll, which found only 13 percent said they "always" read the nutrition facts when deciding what to buy. Many poll respondents interested in sugar, calories, salt and fat content. Fewer than half of those surveyed said they would be willing to pay more for foods that are organic, grass-fed or contain no added sugars or genetically-engineered ingredients. There is something they would shell out for: Locally-grown food. 57 percent said they would consider paying more for it.
