A woman whose mother was found with maggots in her mouth at a nursing home in New South Wales has called for mandatory reporting standards for such incidents. Shirley Carter died at the Opal Raymond Terrace Gardens nursing home near Newcastle last October, and her daughter Jayne has since raised serious concerns about her care.

The trio is facing a ban of up to two years.
