According to a report from Defense News, the Chengdu-manufactured aircraft has been outfitted with a new engine nozzle.

An image of a modified J-10 captured the new nozzle, which has sawtooth edges, but defense analysts believe it is also capable of vector thrust.

That capability allows a pilot to adjust the engine's angle-of-attack to direct thrust in a specific direction.
