Two men have been charged with terrorism offences following raids across Sydney last weekend. A 49-year-old man from Lakemba and a 32-year-old Punchbowl man have each been charged with two counts of preparing for, or planning, a terrorist attack. Both men are due to face Parramatta local court. Another man from Surry Hills remains in police custody.

The federal government's financial intelligence unit launched civil penalty proceedings against the bank in the federal court. If found guilty, the maximum fine could be close to a trillion dollars.
