President Xi Jinping will address the opening ceremony of the 17th China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit today via video link.

The expo will conclude on Monday.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian says the meeting is an important platform for cooperation and cultural exchanges.

He says the meeting will also contribute strength to global efforts to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic and restore economic growth.

Trade between China and Russia reached 88 billion U.S. dollars in the first ten months of the year.

U.S. President Donald Trump says he will leave the White House if the Electoral College votes for President-elect Joe Biden in December.

Liu Liehong revealed the number at the World 5G Convention in Guangzhou.

He says China's 5G technology is speeding up integration with the real economy, as the technology has been applied to various fields including smart manufacturing, health, energy and agriculture.

So far over 250 types of 5G terminals have been licensed in China.

China will implement more policies to optimize the system against dishonest practices and refine the social credit system.

A State Council executive meeting says identification of individuals or enterprises with serious dishonest practices will be better regulated, while punishment against them will be enforced in line with the law.

A credit repair system will also be established, while information security and privacy will be further protected.
