Hello, how are you doing today? 不会觉得我回来太快吧?:)I arrived at the hospital about 11:30am. I was sent to the surgery room at 1:20pm. My Mom said Dr. Davis (who's my doctor) have come out and told her "it's ok" at 2:25pm. Just about one hour. Then, the nurse told me that I could leave before 4:00pm. I didn't know it was so easy. I feel ok now. Not too much pain. I can walk and eat as well as post this message. Ok, now. Let's start today's topic: American Taste (Men). I Like Macho Men! He has such a cute butt! (1)有男人味的男生 (a) masculine (adj.) e.g I love seeing guys work out at the gym because they look so macho and masculine.
(a) beefy (adj.) e.g I find Antony so beefy! (b) buff (adj.) e.g Your boyfriend is buff! He should be a bouncer. (c) cut (adj.) e.g Richard is so cut. I can see his six pack through his shirt. (d) ripped (adj.) e.g I've been working out with weight's for months and now I'm note: cut和ripped 几乎一样,但是和beefy不一样,beefy的肌肉没有那么明显,而ripped的肌肉是一块一块非常明显。 They care about the build of their bodies(他们很重视体魄)。他们欣赏masculine, macho(有男人味、有肌肉的男生)。很多人从小就养成去健身房运动的习惯(work out at the gym)。 这么说来,我是不是也算时尚一族了?:) (3)整体帅哥猛男的说法 (a) hunk (n.) e.g That Bruce Willis is such a hunk! (b) stud (n.) e.g Have you checked out that new stud at muscle beach? note: hunk与stud都是帅哥,不过他们是有体魄又有男人味。 domesticated (adj.) e.g My boyfriend can cook very well. He is so domesticated! Tips: Chivalry is not dead. e.g He always holds the door open for ladies. He is such a gentleman. Ok, let's call a day now. I'll see you next time. Thank you. |
