And coronavirus restrictions start easing today in Western Australia. From today, up to 20 people will be allowed to gather both indoors and outdoors — including at pubs and restaurants and at weddings. And from this morning, Tasmanians can also dine-in at cafes & restaurants — but only ten people at a time. Playgrounds and libraries will also re-open to limited numbers.

McDonalds has shut twelve restaurants in Melbourne for deep cleaning, after a truck driver who made deliveries to the outlets tested positive to the virus. McDonald's says employees who worked shifts during and after the deliveries have been told not to return to work for 14 days.

And Sydney police have charged a man wanted over two murders in Queensland. Police say the 31 year old was arrested last night on the M-1 motorway north of Sydney. He'll face court today. Queensland officers will apply for his extradition.
