According to Geek.com, the Kepler space telescope has been retired.

据“Geek.com”报道，开普勒太空望远镜已经退役。

NASA officials retired the telescope on Oct. 30th, after a 9-and-a-half year flight.

历经9年半的飞行后，10月30日，美国国家航空航天局退役了该望远镜。

The Kepler is NASA's first planet-hunter telescope, which discovered thousands of planets during its mission.

开普勒是美国国家航空航天局的第一架行星猎手的望远镜，它在执行任务期间发现了数千颗行星。

But the Kepler recently ran out of fuel, allowing it to drift out of orbit and into the cosmos.

但最近开普勒太空望远镜的燃料耗尽，任由它漂移出轨道、进入茫茫宇宙。 

The Kepler was launched in 2009, with a mission of assessing over one hundred thousand stars in the Cygnus constellation.

开普勒太空望远镜于2009年发射升空，其任务是对天鹅座中10万多颗的恒星进行观测。

By 2014, the Kepler had surveyed more than 500,000 stars, and had discovered thousands of planets in orbit.

截止2014年，开普勒太空望远镜观测了50多万颗恒星，并在轨道上发现了数千颗行星。
