During his speech, Gates reportedly said that the jar of poop on stage with him could be home to as many as "200 trillion rotavirus, 20 billion Shigella bacteria, and 100,000 parasitic worm eggs."

Gizmodo reports that since 2011, Bill and Melinda Gates have donated 200 million dollars toward developing waterless toilets through the Gates Foundation.

The Gates are looking to build a toilet capable of operating without water, sewers, or electrical lines, and can remove germs from human waste, while also costing less than five cents a day to use.
