Every year on the third Monday in the month of February, the United States observes what is known as President's Day as a celebration to honor America's first president, George Washington, and the 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, who was also born in February. However, Americans generally focus on Washington’s birthday. Just outside the nation's capital is Mount Vernon, George Washington's home for much of his life. VOA's Jeff Feuer has more on this historic home and its owner.
