第一句：I plan to stay for about 10 days.

我预计停留约10天。

A: How long will you be staying in the United States?

你预计在美国停留多久？

B: I plan to stay for about 10 days.

我预计停留约10天。

第二句：I'm just passing through.

我只是过境而已。

A: How long will you be staying in this country?

你将在这个国家待多久？

B: I'm just passing through. I am leaving for Geneva tonight.

我只是过境而已。今晚即动身前往日内瓦。

在通过海关时，移民官会问到在异国的停留时间，这时你可以根据实际情况陈述：

比如说要待一个月：I plan to stay for one month. 我打算待一个月。

如果只是过境，除了上面的表达方法外还可以说：

I am a transit passenger for this flight. 我是这次航班的过境旅客。
