Lesson 12 Key Conversation A Day to Rest

Mary: Hi, Brad. I don't think I'll be able to make it in to work today.

Brad: Oh? Why not?

Mary: I feel kind of under the weather today. I think I came down with something over the weekend.

Brad: That's too bad. Should I send someone over to check up on you?

Mary: No, I don't think so. I might be contagious.

Brad: Good point. Well, we all hope you feel better soon.

Mary: Yeah, I'm really sorry. I know we have that big project that is due tomorrow.

Brad: Don't worry about that. Just stay at home and rest. I'll have Rebecca take care of it.

Mary: Are you sure? I feel really bad for letting the team down.

Brad: Like I said, take a day to rest. You won't be of any good to us if you're sick.

玛丽：嗨，布拉德。我想我今天不能上班了。

布拉德：哦？为什么不呢？
