Agreement on Price Dialogue 1 A:Mr Jones,did you receive the price list for the products you are interested in ? B:Yes,thank you,i did receive it,however,i was a little taken a back by the numbers listed of your price list,they seem to be a little higher than i remember talking about,we had discussed something different that it wasn't in the company literature you sent . A:The price list is only a guide line,the numbers we discussed early were based on the quantity of your order,what's size order are you thinking about? B:Well,as it is new product line for us ,we do have to start small,probably,less than 200 dozen for the first shipment,but if the market is there,we will definitely be ordering more in the next quarter,perhaps as much as ten or twenty times hour initial amount. A:Mr Jones,i hate to break it to you,but 200 dozens is not exactly substantial order for us,our normall orders are in the neighborhood of over 200 grows,within order that size,i would only be able to offer you a 2% discount off the price list in a catalogue. B:Well,that certainly won't do,like i said,our initial order might be small,but future orders will far exceed our first amount. A:I understand you may be ordering more in the future,so i am interested in building a good relationship with you ,by finding a solution that we work for both of us,however,you said yourself,that quantity if your order in the next quarter,it's depended on the market,as there is no guarantee about the size of your future orders,the best i can do,it's to offer a chance to negotiate a new price,based on how much you need the next time you make your order. Dialogue 2 A:Hello,SWANS and SCIENCE Mechanical Supply,what can i help you with today? B:Yes, i was hoping to get a call from you guys about an order. A:Thank you for the opportunity,which product were you interested in?and what size order are we looking at? B:We wanted to know about your B296,13 inch gadgets,we are planning on an order of 3,000 growth for a start,with more two follow. A:Yes,here we are,are B296 gadgets go for 29 dollars 99 cents you as per growth,CIF LOS ANGELES.Of course,that's our least price,i might be able to give you a 3% discount,based on your order size. B:Can you offer anything a little more competitive?our supplier now is giving us 19 dollars 50 cents per growth. A:Well,if you were able to increase your order by additional a couple thousand growth so,we might be able to give you a better discount,add in an order a 5,000 growth,we could not only matcher other suppliers price ,but bided.how's 19 dollars even per growth? B:Sounds good to me ,what would be the early possible date of shipment? A:We can have something ready to go one month after contract signing is completed,if an order is over 7,000 growth,we can even arrange partial shipments. |
