Episode 34: It's going to be a disaster Tony: Ahhh…this is the bit of the day I like the best…only me in here…before any customers arrive…a bit of peace and quiet…I can read the newspaper… Carlos: Hi there! Sarah: Hi Tony! Tony: Oh no…here we go…no more peace and quiet…Hello Carlos, Sarah… Carlos: Busy day today! Sarah: Yeah…we’re really stressed out! Tony: What can I get you, then? Carlos: Two good strong coffees, please – we need the energy! Tony: Coming up… Sarah: And something to eat…what would you like to eat, Carlos? Carlos: I’m too nervous to eat… Sarah: Go on! You should eat something! Carlos: No, really…I can’t eat anything… Sarah: Ok…I’ll just have a croissant please Tony. Tony: What’s going on then? Carlos: What’s going on!? I thought everyone knew! Tony: Knew what? Carlos: Tonight – it’s the opening night of my new restaurant… Tony: Restaurant? Carlos: Yeah – my Brazilian restaurant! Don’t you remember? Tony: Oh…er...yeah…what’s it called? Carlos: Oh no – nobody knows the name! We haven’t done enough advertising! Sarah: Carlos, don’t worry! It’s called “Rodizio” – it’s a kind of simple Brazilian restaurant… Tony: Great. So when do you open? Carlos: Tonight!!!!! Tony: I bet you’re busy then… Carlos: Yeah…you could say that! Loads to do! We’re behind schedule… Sarah: Come on, I’ll give you a hand…we’d better get going… Magda: Hi Sarah! I thought you’d be here! How are you? Sarah: Oh, hi Magda – I’m pretty stressed out at the moment… Magda: Stressed out? Sarah: Yeah – nervous, anxious, worried, busy – all that! Magda: On no! Why? Sarah: Carlos’ restaurant is opening tonight!!! Magda: Oh, of course – I’d forgotten! Carlos: You see! Nobody knows! It’s going to be a disaster! Nobody will come! Sarah: No, Carlos! Don’t worry. Olivia: Hey! Good to see you all! Sarah: Hi Olivia. Sorry - we’re a bit stressed at the moment. Fadi: Hi all! How’s it going? Carlos: Don’t ask… Fadi: What’s up mate? Carlos: The restaurant! My restaurant! It’s opening tonight!! Fadi: Of course – hey, I hadn’t forgotten you know! Carlos: I’ve still got all the cooking to do and we haven’t finished decorating yet! Sarah: Yes – lots to do…we’d better get going… Olivia: I’m sure Fadi will give you a hand – you’ll help Carlos, won’t you Fadi? Fadi: Will I? Oh, er, yeah…I guess I will. Have I got time for a coffee? Olivia: To take away, yes…hurry up though… Fadi: Tony – could I get a coffee please? Quickly, if you can… Tony: It’s always rush, rush, rush with you lot… All: Hi Bindyu! Bindyu: Hello everybody. How are you all? Sarah: Erm, a bit stressed, to be honest… Bindyu: Stressed? Tell me about it… Magda: Tell you about what? Bindyu: Sorry…it just means that I’m stressed too! Carlos: Look I’d better get going. Are you coming too Fadi? Fadi: Sure… Carlos: Can the rest of you come to the restaurant later? Sarah/Olivia/Magda: Sure! See you later! Good luck! Carlos: Bye! Olivia: So what’s up with you, Bindyu? Magda: Yeah – why are you stressed out? Bindyu: The wedding… Olivia: It’s not for a long time yet…it’s a bit early to be worried about that… Bindyu: I know – but it’s so complicated…My family really like Harry…but… Olivia: There’s always a “but”! Sarah: What’s the problem? Bindyu: Well, they want a traditional-style wedding. Magda: That sounds like fun! Bindyu: Well, yes, possibly – but Harry wants something different: a very simple wedding. Just us and a few friends in the registry office. Magda: Registry office? Olivia: Yes – when people only want a civil marriage, not in church, they get married in a registry office… Magda: Oh. I see…. Bindyu: So how can I make sure my family and Harry both get what they want? Olivia: Hmmm…we’re going to have to think about this carefully… Sarah: You’re right, but now we have to go and help Carlos – he’s really worried nobody will come to the opening of his restaurant… Olivia: Of course…come on, let’s go! All: Bye Tony! Tony: Phew…I was stressed out as well…at least I can get some peace and quiet now…
