3. The new governor of New York David Paterson says he had affairs with several women, including a state employee, admitting he and his wife had affairs when their marriage was in trouble. Paterson took over for Eliot Spitzer who is caught in a call-girl ring.

4. Eight tax-office employees in West Virginia claimed a winning Powerball ticket worth more than 276 million dollars. The winning ticket was sold at a video poker bar with the winners opting for a payout of 139 million in cash.
