1. US military says it will release Associated Press photographer Bilal Hussein. That after the Iraqi judicial panel dismissed the last remaining criminal allegation against him. Hussein has spent more than two years in custody in Iraq.

2. Speaking at the Associated Press annual meeting, Senator Barack Obama said he regrets his comments about small-town voters. He says those comments are distracting from more critical issues in his campaign.

3. Police in Vermont say a woman reported missing with her two daughters waded into a brook carrying one of them. She eluded a rescue attempt before mother and child were swept away and died. Searchers later found the body of her other daughter downstream.
 
4. And this Red Sox fan came up with a sneaky way to bury his baseball rival. He stashed a Red Sox jersey in the foundation of the new Yankee Stadium now under construction. Workers painstakingly removed the shirt and the Yankees could now seek criminal charges.
