The firefight continues in southern California where crews are now battling three different blazes. One fire doubled in size has now burnt over 10,000 acres. Crews are getting the upper handle on the blaze... when evacuation order has been partially lifted. President Bush announced a 250 billion dollar plan by the government to directly buy shares on the nation's leading banks. He says the moves are not intented to take over the free market, but to preserve it. Bush says some of the money will come from the 700 billion dollar bailout law. The man who will replace disgraced congress Marc Fley is now facing accusations about an affair. Florida Democratic representative Tim Mahoney admits causing his family headache. He says he did nothing illegal and not a penny to keep quiet about trisk. The Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings visited President Bush at the White House Tuesday. The Red Wings won the cup by beating Pittsburgh Penguin in six games back in June.
