2.Minnesota's governor's telling residents of Moorhead to heed the advice of emergency responders. Moorhead lies on the other side of the Red River from Fargo, North Dakota, where river levels have reached record heights and is still rising.

3.Mourners in Oakland, California said farewell today to four police officers who were gunned down last weekend. The slain officers’ caskets draped in American flags, arrived in a caravan that passed under a giant US flag held up by two fire truck ladders.

4.Bar patrons in Arizona got a startle when a bobcat trotted in the front door. One man was attacked and slightly hurt. The cat was shot by police. Tests showed it had rabies.
